I saw this video on a blog I follow called Moving at The Speed of Creativity written by Wesley Fryer. I thought it was interesting that this school district put forth this effort. It is also a testament to the use of you tube for school activities. Not all things on you tube are bad. Enjoy the video and check out the blog if you don't already follow it. I'm still in SC and enjoying every minute of it.

Very touching and inspiring, Otto! Sometimes, especially on rough days, we need reminders of why we chose to be teachers and work with kids. I never tell students they can't do something they want to do, even if I sometimes have my doubts. I've heard so many stories of students who didn't appear to be able to be successful in a certain area who showed the world otherwise so I need to believe, just as much as they do, or even more, that they can be successful at whatever they endeavor to achieve. We have a lot of power and influence over the children we teach, and our daily choices make a difference, for good or bad. This reminds me to keep that in mind.
ReplyDeleteOtto,
ReplyDeleteI am still having trouble posting your comments. I think I have a computer problem somewhere. I was able to post comments before from my email, now it is not working. I recently had to reinstall windows. Any ideas?

Not really. I don't know much about the inner workings of a computer. I just do what the instructions tell me. (Or what my wife says)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Otto for this inspiring U-Tube video "BELIEVE" It makes your heart melt to watch students and teachers expressing how thankful they are for each other! You have commented often on my blog and I appreciate it! I am going to check out the blog your video came from. I'm learning so much.
